Bright and colourful Art Journal Page

Some days we just crave for bright and colourful Art, don’t we. Let me know if you agree. So for the Moocboard #31 curated by Gina B.Ahrens for the Artsy Trio I went full power with those colours. Mostly pinks, orange, yellow with some teal. I also added black and white, cause in my opinion it makes the color popping even more, especially if you add black or work on a black background.

I do love bright and colourful most of the times, well there are times where I think I have to try more muted tones, but it usually doesn’t take to long for me to return to brights.

It was a playful approach just adding random colours, first with water soluble wax crayons and then with acrylic paint. As a focal element I did use a face from a magazine from stash. Then I added the quote: “Be the creator of your own colourful Universe”.

The supplies I have used:
Neocolor 2, water soluble wax crayons in following colours:

  • Yellow
    Golden Yellow
    reddish orange
    scarlet
    vermilion
    purple
    azurite blue
    moss green

Acrylic Paint:

  • Neon Orange
    Permanent red purple
    Pirol red
    turquoise green
    cadmium yellow medium
    Azo yellow medium
    light purple
    light Olive green
black and white, but you can use any color combination you like
