In today’s video, I’m working in my large A3 Moleskine Art Journal (200 g/m² watercolor paper) and creating a bold, vibrant mixed media flower bouquet.

It has been a while since I painted flowers, so I began with a fluorescent pink & orange background and sketched the bouquet loosely using white blackboard chalk.
From there, the layers grew and shifted — deep reds, a bright yellow bloom, white accents, and expressive leaves. I used Amsterdam acrylic paints, an oil-based charcoal pencil, white Posca pen, and finally Caran d’Ache Neopastels to bring everything together.

This is a timelapse, but still around 20 minutes — so grab your coffee or tea and enjoy a moment of color and creativity.
