Yes, we are certainly influenced by the weather. For this art journal page I picked just a few tools: a matte graphite pencil, Schmincke Liquid Earth, liquid charcoal and a black water-soluble Stabilo All. I added some pieces from a fashion magazine where the images were predominantly grey and muted. Even the quote came from there: “Dunkles Aschgrau”, dark ash grey.

All of it lives in my Dylusions art journal. I don’t mind these grey days so much after a long summer. It’s time to sit in the studio and play. Of course, not every day is grey, but a little break is welcome.
