I didn’t originally plan to share this sketchbook. It started as a personal space to experiment. I used it to test supplies and just play. I filled all 46 pages of my A5 coldpress watercolor journal from Etchr. Then I thought: why not take you along for a flip through?

This journal is filled front and back with watercolor, pen and ink, and colored pencils. It also includes a hint of acrylic paint and a few of my own handmade stencils. Some pages are a bit messy, others took a surprising turn — but each one taught me something.

Inside, you’ll find recurring themes like birch trees. They are my favorite trees — so airy and full of contrast. You will also see whimsical figures, floral moments, playful cats, and even cupcakes. The cupcake inspiration? That might be my daughter’s fault — she bakes the most beautiful ones, and I just couldn’t resist sketching them.
If you enjoy sketchbook tours, this video is for you! You will like mixed media play. It also offers a peek into another artist’s creative process.
