Abstract Landscape Art Journal – Teal, Burnt Sienna & Titan Buff

In this new art journal video, I’m kicking off a series focused on abstract landscapes using just a few colors. For this first spread, I chose teal, burnt sienna, and titan buff. This palette is warm and slightly weathered. It gave me the freedom to focus on composition and texture. I also used some Derwent Inktense and the Stabilo All for depth and details.

An open art journal spread featuring an abstract landscape painted in teal, burnt sienna, and titan buff colors, with various art supplies like acrylic paint tubes, paintbrushes, and colored pencils placed around it. A quote is displayed on the page, enhancing the mood of the artwork.

The quote “Rust may dull the metal, but it deepens the story.” felt just right for the mood of the page — like a weathered memory shaped by time.

I’m working in the Etchr Landscape Sketchbook. Yes, the name alone made it feel like the perfect choice. It suits these horizontal compositions.

If you try your own version of this palette, I’d love to see it! Tag me on Instagram or leave a comment on YouTube.
