Today I’m happy to share a beautiful seasonal project from my Design Team member Marie Linder (Mixed Creativity by Marie). For this card she used my Mix & Match & Create digital paper collection together with the Poinsettia Stencil from my shop — and turned simple inked pieces into a stunning layered focal point.

Marie started by printing the Green Dotted digital paper from the kit. This paper works wonderfully for Christmas cards, but the whole kit includes much more: dotted papers in different colors, lined paper, labels, tags, and extra elements that are perfect for mixed media, journaling, and cardmaking.
For the focal point, Marie created a handmade Poinsettia flower using my Poinsettia stencil. She ink-blended the petals and leaves with Distress Ink, cut them out individually, and layered them to build a dimensional flower. A golden gem in the center adds just the right amount of sparkle.

On her blog you can see the whole process step by step — from stenciling to cutting to assembling the final card. The finished piece sits on top of textured fibers and the green dotted background, creating a festive and elegant look.
Thank you, Marie, for sharing this gorgeous Christmas card and for showing how versatile the Mix & Match & Create collection can be!
