This month’s Mood Board Nr. 9 inspired me to try something new in my art journal: an inkjet image transfer! Normally, I only use laser prints, but I wanted to see how it would turn out with inkjet. The result was both surprising and fun to work with.

I built the background with Golden Fluid Acrylics (Azo Yellow, Burnt Umber, Red Oxide). I added sketchy details with Derwent Dark Wash and Tinted Charcoal pencils. The focal point is a photo I took myself on a trip. It was most likely Neuschwanstein. I later altered it in Photoshop to create a mystical, dreamlike feel.
To finish, I included the inspiring quote. It was taken directly from the mood board:
“Find the magical place in your world and live there.”

Art journals are made for play and experimentation—and this spread truly reminded me of that!
