Moodboard Nr. 8 – Abstract Art Journal Page in Summer Colors

This month’s moodboard by Marie Linder (@mixedcreativitybymarie) was a wonderful invitation to play with vibrant yet balanced summer colors. I chose to go abstract, allowing layers of commercial and homemade tissue paper to guide the composition. The page came together through soft washes, bold marks made with waxy crayons, and plenty of intuitive choices.

An abstract page featuring vibrant summer colors with layers of blue, green, and yellow, enhanced by bold black swirls and commercial text elements.

🖌️ Materials include:
– Tissue paper (store-bought + handmade)
– Acrylic paint
– Waxy crayons
– Mixed Media art journal
