Design Team Project featuring the Mermaid Fairy Kit
As you maybe know, I love seeing the interpretations of collections by the talented artists in my Design Team. They do this in their own creative ways. Today, I’m excited to share Susan’s newest project, which brings a touch of under-the-sea whimsy to your journals and planners.
From Susan:
“Today’s project was inspired by the paper in the Mermaid Fairy Kit. The ocean-themed music sheet is one of my favorites from this digital. I loved the little fairy seahorses as well, so I knew I needed to create something using them. This altered Paperclip Tag with the hidden journaling spot will be perfect in an ocean themed journal or planner page.”
Susan created a gorgeous altered paperclip tag. It is a functional and decorative piece. It clips onto your journal page. It hides a secret journaling spot behind it. The layered textures, dreamy ocean tones, and those adorable fairy seahorses come together beautifully. This creates the feeling that this piece is a tiny treasure from the sea.
What I love most is how versatile it is:

You can really feel how much Susan enjoyed working with the Mermaid Fairy Kit. Her project is a wonderful example. Just a few elements—like themed papers and a bit of imagination—can become something truly special.
