For this enchanting Design Team project, Walter takes us on a journey beneath the waves. He creates a magical underwater card that shimmers with dreamy textures and oceanic charm.

Walter used the Mermaid Fairy digital collage papers. Along with the Coral and Distressed Scales stencils, he created a layered seascape. This artwork captures the light and movement of the deep blue sea.

The background begins with two shades of blue tissue paper, carefully arranged to create soft wrinkles that mimic underwater currents. A touch of Iridescent Gold Polishing Plaster adds a radiant glow. It resembles sunlight dancing through the water’s surface and sinking into the depths below.

Framing the card is a beautifully stenciled border in purple and teal, full of shimmer and shine. This frame not only draws the eye to the center but enhances the sense of underwater magic.

At the heart of the scene, a graceful mermaid fairy glides through the ocean alongside a friendly turtle. Together, they bask in the golden rays. They embody the card’s gentle reminder to “make waves.” This sentiment is perfectly echoed by the visual motion in the tissue paper background.

This card perfectly illustrates how stencils, textures, and imagination work together. They bring a whimsical underwater world to life on paper.
