Adventure awaits at every turn! That’s the feeling Marie (@Mixedcreativitybymarie) evokes in her latest Mixed Media tag. It blends a nostalgic vintage aesthetic with elements of curiosity and creative play. Inspired by times gone by, she crafted a beautifully layered tag using a variety of materials from Bea Grob’s collection.

A Journey Through Time with Vintage Love

To create this tag, Marie started with a sheet from Bea Grob’s digital paper kit Vintage Love (available here). The warm tones and aged textures instantly set the stage for a piece reminiscent of old postcards and forgotten letters. She further built depth by using washi sticker sheets with subtle text. These elements are perfect for creating an interesting background. They do not overwhelm the focal elements.

Mermaid Fairy Magic

Marie’s love for combining different collections shines in this project! She added details from the Mermaid Fairy collection, proving that themes can blend seamlessly with a little creative thinking. Washi stickers from the Mermaid Fairy set are soon to be available in the shop. They brought delicate yet whimsical accents. The Mermaid Fairy – text washi sheet (shop here) provided a subtle storytelling touch.

Thinking Outside the Box with Stamps

Marie used only a portion of a design from the Mermaid Fairy Fishes and More silicone stamp set. She showed skill by not using the entire stamp. The set is available here. This highlights one of her favorite creative approaches—finding new ways to use existing materials and always asking, What happens if…?
