A new month means a new moodboard challenge! 🎨 It was my turn to create Mood board #3. This was for our Facebook group: Bea’s Mixed Media & More (Join here). I wanted to create something more personal. So, I gathered photos I took throughout the year in my local area. I built a mood board from them.
For my journal spread, I was particularly drawn to an image of trees. Trees have always fascinated me—their presence, their seasonal changes, their ability to tell stories through textures and shapes. Inspired by this, I started with a magazine page featuring trees, adding:
- Collage elements to build depth
- Acrylic paint to blend and enhance the scene
- Threads for texture and movement
- A print of a bird I painted, serving as a second focal point
The combination of earthy tones, organic shapes, and layering techniques helped me capture the moodboard’s essence. It also allowed me to add my artistic touch.
