I’m thrilled to share an extra special Design Team project by Marie! Her official term with me was from September to October. She couldn’t resist diving back into the creative process. She made an extra project for December. I always enjoy seeing her unique spin on my products. This time, she’s featuring my newest silicone stamp set, “Pretty Faces.”

Marie’s Creative Process
In her latest project, Marie uses the “Pretty Faces” stamp as a focal point for an art journal page. She wanted to explore working on an old book page. She used squares and circles as the background design elements. She chose watercolors to bring the page to life — but can you paint with watercolors on ordinary book pages?

To find out, you’ll have to watch her video! Spoiler alert: The results are beautiful and unexpected.
Marie used a paper weaving technique to create the dress for the stamped face. This adds texture and interest to the page. It’s a fantastic way to make use of scraps and bring a playful, handmade touch to the project.

You can see the full process in her video linked below. It’s a wonderful tutorial. It’s perfect for anyone looking to try watercoloring on book pages. You can also experiment with the new “Pretty Faces” stamp set. I love how she combines geometric shapes, vibrant colors, and a touch of vintage style.
