APG Jamie’s November Design Project: Journal Inside Page Spreads

I’m excited to share APG Jamie’s latest Design Team project for November! In Part 3 of her journal series, Jamie has worked magic on the inside page spreads. She used the Vintage Love digitals and the leaves/fauna stencil. Jamie also used acrylic stamps and Distress Ink Scorched Timber to bring each page to life. Let’s see what she shows us.

I’m going to keep this one short, y’all. Part 3 of our journal brings us to the inside page spreads. Again, I’m using Bea’s Vintage Love digitals, leaves/fauna stencil, and acrylic stamps, Distress Ink Scorched Timber, Art Glitter Glue, desk scraps, for other ingredients and the inside page spreads

For the opening spread, I collaged a bit of torn tea bag and a small piece of printed transparency. I used two prints of the same girl. I trimmed the white frame off one print. That print was then layered and glued to the spread across the gap. I was careful not to put glue on the section that went over the book gap. This will help it fold freely without being stiff from the glue. I had a piece of scrap. It created a nice pocket for the second digital girl, which was framed with a white edge. A store-bought chipboard flower was centered on the gear tuck spot, where a digital ephemera card is tucked. Bits and pieces were inked with distress ink scorched timber.

For the last spread of the journal, I stenciled with the leaves/fauna with garden patina archival ink. I used the lovely stamps and scrap prints. They made a doll, which became a small belly band of sorts. We slipped a portable pocket with a tag into it. I then added a pocket on the inside back where other bits of ephemera may be tucked. Also, I added a layered border for even more interest, from the digital scraps.

Please don’t forget to watch the video here https://youtu.be/vMuP_i9z1j0. It allows you to see the other spreads in this journal. You may find the links to Parts 1 and 2 in the video description.
