Imaginary Faces: Acrylic & Charcoal Magic on Eleni’s Background

For this month’s #3girlsand12faces collaboration, I worked with a beautiful background created by Eleni. This time, I decided to paint an imaginary face in my signature style, combining acrylic paints and mixed media techniques.

I began with a soft wash of Titan Buff to fill in the general shape of the face. Afterward, I sketched the facial features using a Nero oil-based charcoal pencil. I love the contrast it creates with the lighter tones. I enhanced the dark lines using the Stabilo All pencil in black. It gives a wonderfully deep black when activated with water.
