Today, I’m excited to share Wendy Townsend’s latest project for the Design Team! She has crafted beautiful magnetic bookmarks using our digital papers. They’re not just functional. They are also stunning to look at. These bookmarks are perfect for keeping your place in a book while adding a handmade, artistic touch.

Wendy’s Process:
Cutting the Paper: Wendy started by cutting the digital paper sheet into 2″ wide strips and then halved them lengthways. She also used a 12×12 card pad, cutting strips that measured 2 ¼”, then folding them in half. For a polished look, she rounded the bottom corners and inked the edges.
Designing the Bookmark: For the bookmark’s exterior, Wendy chose to keep the white side of the card on the outside. She added the beautiful script paper to it. This contrast makes the design stand out!
Adding Finishing Touches: Wendy punched circles and tabs from another digital sheet. She glued a magnet inside each bookmark. Then she covered it with a punched circle. This ensured the magnet stayed hidden yet functional.
Tassels & Tabs: Wendy wanted to make the bookmarks extra special. She added tabs to the top and secured them with eyelets. Then, she finished each one off with a handmade tassel. The tassel extends beautifully from the pages of a book, giving a whimsical touch.

These magnetic bookmarks are practical. They perfectly show how a few simple materials can become something magical. Find here video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVS_cq3fUQc
