August Collab: Painting Face on given Backgrounds

For this month’s #3girlsand12faces collaboration, I had the pleasure of working on a background created by my friend Marie Linder. Inspired by the intricate and expressive works of Australian Painter Margaret Preston, I set out to bring a unique face to life on this canvas.

Using mostly acrylic paints, I layered colors and textures to build depth and character. As always, my trusted Nero pencil from Cretacolor, an oil-based charcoal pencil, was essential in adding those final details that bring the piece together.

Let me know what you think in the comments, and don’t forget to check out the amazing works by my fellow collaborators!
And now enjoy the video.
