Vibrant Art Journal Page Inspired by Moodboard #35 | Creative Process Revealed

Today I’m here with latest project for the Artsy Trio Collaboration! This month, it’s all about Moodboard #35. The colors on this moodboard immediately caught my eye, and I couldn’t wait to dive in and let them inspire my journal page.

The Inspiration Behind My Journal Page

Gina’s moodboard is a vibrant mix of colors that evoke a sense of joy and creativity. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to create something that not only reflected these hues but also added layers of texture and personal touches.

My Creative Process

In my latest YouTube video, I take you step-by-step through my creative process. Here’s a sneak peek of what you’ll see:

  1. Choosing the Elements: I started by selecting various collage pieces, including magazine images and decorative napkins. These materials add both color and texture, creating a rich background for my journal page.
  2. Building the Background: Layering these collage pieces was a fun and intuitive process. I love how the different textures and patterns come together to create a cohesive look.
  3. I also added some color : I did use white Gesso for toning down a bit and acrylic paint to add more hues.
  4. Adding the Focal Point: To tie everything together, I included a hand-drawn illustration of a cute girl that I had drawn some time ago. She adds a whimsical and personal touch to the page, perfectly complementing the vibrant colors of the moodboard.
