Welcome back to my blog, art enthusiasts!
Today, I am thrilled to share with you the journey behind my latest creation, “I Can’t Cry,” a mixed media painting on a deep canvas measuring 60 x 60 cm (roughly 24 x 24 inches). This piece took about three days to complete, and I’ve documented the entire process in a detailed timelapse video further down
The Inspiration
“I Can’t Cry” is a deeply personal work, inspired by the complex emotions and experiences that often leave us feeling vulnerable yet resilient. Through layers of mixed media, I aimed to capture the essence of suppressed emotions and the strength that comes from confronting them.
The Process
The painting process was both challenging and rewarding. Over the course of three days, I experimented with various materials and techniques to bring this vision to life. The timelapse video includes captions to give you an inside look at each step of the journey, from the initial sketch to the final touches.
Materials Used
For those curious about the materials I used, here’s a comprehensive list:
- Acrylic paints
- Ink
- Charcoal
- Texture paste
- Assorted brushes and palette knives
- my stencils which you can find here
- Deep canvas (60 x 60 cm / 24 x 24 inches)
