Spring has arrived and Marie aka Mixed Creativity by Marie has shared a wonderful page. The wind is warm, the sun is shining, the sunglasses are on, the birds are chirping and nature is waking up — the best season of the whole year — SPRING!!
I was inspired to make an art journal page and used both a stamp and a stencil from Bea Grob’s collection Cute & Grunge.

Spring called — and I answered with every shade of red and green I could find.
When the season shifts and that first real warmth hits, I simply have to get into my journal. This page almost made itself: the flowers tumbled out, the face appeared behind her oversized sunglasses, and before I knew it, she was ready for the season in the most unapologetic way.
The Cute & Grunge collection gave me exactly what I needed — that mix of playful and bold that matches how spring actually feels. Not soft pastels and quiet blooms, but something loud and alive and a little bit wild.
Here’s how I worked:
- Start with a background wash — go big and go green.
- Build up the florals using the stencil, layering from light to dark.
- Stamp the focal elements and let the face emerge from the chaos of flowers.
- Add dots, splatters, and tiny details to pull it all together.
- Finish with a word that says everything: VÅR!

Materials I used:
• Bea Grob Stamp set – Cute Grunge https://beagrob.com/product/a5-photopolymer-stamp-cute-grunge/
• Bea Grob stencil – Bloom Cluster https://beagrob.com/product/a5-bloom-cluster-stencil/
Whether you call it Vår, Spring, Frühling, or Printemps — go make a page that celebrates it. Loudly.
