In this video, I share the full process of finishing one of my crow paintings — from layered paint to varnish and finally adding the hanging wire.

The video is a timelapse with voice over, where I talk about my materials, my working process, and the decisions I make along the way. My crows are not meant to represent a specific species from the corvid family. Instead, they are personal interpretations — inspired by intelligence, social behavior, and the quiet presence these birds have.

I also explain why I use a water-based acrylic sealer from the hardware store rather than solvent-based varnishes from the art store. For me, it’s about comfort, safety, and compatibility with mixed media materials like oil pastels, charcoal, and pencils.
This painting is now fully finished and gallery ready — a moment I always enjoy, as it marks the end of one story and the beginning of another.
New videos about crow painting coming soon, but watch this for now
