Trash to Treasure Nature Journal – Accordion Art Journal from Found Materials

This video marks the beginning of a new creative series: Trash to Treasure.

I’m creating a nature-inspired accordion art journal, starting with the structure and the front cover.
The process is shown in timelapse, accompanied by a voice-over where I share the thoughts behind this journal.

A nature-inspired accordion art journal wrapped in green fabric, featuring a painted illustration of a bird and the label 'Field Notes' on the cover.

The idea came from a familiar situation: drawers full of collected materials.
Handmade and hand-colored papers, collage scraps from magazines and old calendars, fabric and lace, dried leaves and flower petals, and pages from old botany books.

Instead of organizing them again, I decided to turn these leftovers into a journal.

This is not a traditional nature study.
It’s my own interpretation of nature – layered, intuitive, and slightly imperfect.
Plants, animals, textures, memories, and materials all coming together.

This is the first video in an ongoing series.
More pages and ideas will follow.
