This quick art journal page started in the most ordinary way — with a gingerbread I had the night before.

The little paper Santa that came with it felt too charming to throw away, so he went straight into my journal. At the same time, I had just made a new star stencil, and the page already had a soft blue watercolor background waiting.

I added a winter image, some red collage paper for the bauble, a few stars — and suddenly the page was done. No plan, no pressure.

Just one of those moments where scraps, mood, and curiosity come together.
