This month marks the final Mood Board of 2025, and of course Marie chose a winter theme. Living in the northern hemisphere, both of us are surrounded by frost, soft light, and quieter days — the perfect inspiration for a winter art journal page.

For this spread, I gathered a selection of gelliprints, most of them printed on deli paper. A few blueish and reddish prints on regular printer paper added contrast. Because I wanted to incorporate both machine stitching and hand-stitching with textured yarn, I created the page on a separate sheet first and only glued it into the journal after all sewing was done.

Layers of transparency, fabric textures, and paper scraps create a soft winter atmosphere, and the stitched elements bring beautiful structure and movement.
