Art in a Phone Booth – A Glimpse into My Creative World

This Friday afternoon, I had the pleasure of setting up my mini-exhibition. The space was very unusual – a public phone booth! The project is part of Kabinenwechsel. My husband is always ready to lend a hand. With his help, we transformed one square meter into a tiny window into my artistic world.

The setup includes a prominently displayed colorful portrait and various art pieces on stands.

Fitting everything into a 1 m x 1 m space was definitely a challenge – but one I welcomed! In the end, I selected just a few pieces. I feel they represent the range of my creative work. This includes paintings, art journals, and small assemblages.

Of course, I could only show a tiny selection of what I make. However, I hope it offers a little glimpse into the layers, textures, and stories that inspire me.

I’m curious to see how people will react. It’s always exciting to share your work in public space. It can be a little nerve-wracking too. Especially one as reflective (literally!) as a glass phone booth.

📍 If you happen to be in or near St. Gallen before July 16, stop by the phone booth near the train station. Take a look inside. It’s a small space with big stories!

A quick note before the video:
It’s a little shaky – I filmed it freehand (not something I do often!) . But it should still give you a nice impression of what the phone booth looks like from the inside.
