Creating a Semi-Abstract Art Journal Page with Gelli Prints

Last week, I had so much fun creating Gelli prints. I knew I had to use them in an art journal page! If you missed that video, you can check it out here: https://youtu.be/V1uc74z9fgU?si=hO4aWJX-XMePCnC5

For this page, I chose a semi-abstract style. I layered my printed papers with some additional collage elements from my stash. The focal point is a plant pot on a table, giving the page a cozy yet artistic feel. I love how the textures and colors interact!

Here is a small section so that you can see the details better:

Process Overview:

  1. Choosing the Base – I selected a Gelli print as my Table and built on it.
  2. Layering Elements – Using a piece of my prints, I formed the pot and plant composition.
  3. Adding Depth – Using a Stabilo All in black to go around the edges brought the page together.
