In today’s feature, Marie brings us her latest creative experiment—an abstract art journal page in an altered recipe book. Using a gorgeous palette of blue, green, turquoise, with a touch of orange and white, she dives into her work with acrylics, staying true to her signature love for stencils.

Marie incorporates three of my A5 stencils into this piece, but like many art journeys, it doesn’t go exactly as planned. She admits, “I didn’t stop and look at my project, I just kept going, and when I finally looked, I didn’t like what I saw.”

What’s her solution? Marie reminds us why acrylics are such a forgiving medium: you can always paint over and make adjustments until you’re happy with the result! Curious to see how she fixed it? Head over to YouTube to watch Marie’s full process, including how she used Bea Grob’s stencils to create something she loved in the end.
