Hello everyone!
I am thrilled to share with you my latest art journal page created for the August issue, in collaboration with the incredibly talented Lena. This project has been a joyful exploration of colors and creativity, and I can’t wait to take you through the process.
The Inspiration
For this page, I chose to work with my favorite palette: aqua and blue paired with a hint of dark purple. These colors bring me a sense of tranquility and inspiration, perfectly capturing my artistic personality. I love how they contrast and complement each other, creating a vibrant and dynamic effect.
The Process
I started by using stencils from my shop to build the foundation of the page. The stencils added depth and texture, setting the stage for the vibrant colors to shine. You can find them in my shop, the stencil tumbling letter will be soon available. So look out for my next blog with some exciting news I have to share.
Next, I layered acrylic paints in various shades of aqua blue, blending them to create a harmonious background.
To add more interest and contrast, I incorporated some dark purple accents. These splashes of color add a striking element to the page, making it visually engaging. To further enhance I did use the Stabilo All in black, which is watersoluble so I could blend it nicely around the circles. I also used Posca Pens to add black and white marks, creating bold highlights and intricate details.
The Finishing Touch
The finishing touch of the page is a quote I printed on my computer: “It is all about colors.” This phrase resonates deeply with me, as my love for colors is a fundamental part of my artistic journey. Colors have the power to evoke emotions, tell stories, and transform a simple page into a work of art.
