For those new to our adventure, the Artsy Trio consists of Gina from Oregon, USA, Marie from Sweden, and myself from Switzerland. Every first Friday of the month, we release a video based on a moodboard that one of us designs. It’s a wonderful way to push our creative boundaries and explore new techniques.
This Month’s Moodboard
Gina’s moodboard this month was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of bold and subtle hues, along with the floral theme, offered endless possibilities. I immediately felt inspired to create an art journal page using collage and gelli printing techniques.

My Creative Process
Materials Used:
- Collage papers
- Gelli plate
- Acrylic paints
- Art journal
- Various stencils from my shop
I began by selecting a range of collage papers that echoed the colors in Gina’s moodboard. I wanted to capture the vibrant energy and delicate beauty of the flowers, so I chose magazine pages which I found appealing.
Next, I used a gelli plate to create layered backgrounds directly onto the journal page. Gelli printing is a fantastic way to add depth and texture, and it complemented the collage elements beautifully. By using different stencils I was able to create a dynamic and cohesive design.
