Yes I like to combine things which usually are not meant to go together. There are always that questions in my head: Hm. what happens, when …

So while I was picking up some loose woven cheesecloth I was wondering wether I can combine it with some Makin‘s clay ®. And indeed you can easily just add it to the Makin‘s clay ® by pressing in. Next question was what endproduct would look good for this combo. As I like flowers it came naturally why not mimic the center of some roses?

So I started with some cut pieces of the cheesecloth. I did run the white Makin‘s clay ® through the smallest possible setting and then pressed the fabric into the Makin‘s clay ®. I then bunched them up at the bottom and started the center of the flower. The outer petals and the leaves I did start as ball and did form them in my hand. When you add more and more petals the bottom becomes longer and bulkier I simply shape and then cut it back with a scissor. I also made some leaves to go with the rose.

While the Makin‘s clay ® still wet I also added some gold and green colored Micapowder. To help keeping the rose in shape I did use a cut up papercup. They are waxy inside so it doesn‘t stick. I have a slideshow to show you some of the steps down below.

So während ich ein lockeres, gewebtes Käsetuch aufhob, fragte ich mich ob ich es mit etwas Makin’s clay ® kombinieren kann. Und in der Tat, es wird einfach in den Clay gepresst. Weiter hab ich mich gefragt, welches Endprodukt für diese Kombination gut aussehen würde. Da ich Blumen liebe war es klar was ich machen will. Warum nicht eine Rose?

Ich hab einige Stücke abgeschnitten, ausserdem hab ich den Makin’s clay ® so dünn wie möglich ausgewallt und dann die Gaze reingepresst. Die äusseren Blumenblatter hab ich von Hand geformt. Indem ich mir einige Kugeln in der gleichen Grösse bereitgelegt habe. Je mehr Blumenblätter hinzu gefügt werden, desto dicker und länger wird der untere Teil. Ich hab einfach von Zeit zu Zeit zurückgeschnitten. Ich hab auch noch (grüne) Blätter geformt wie ihr sehen könnt

Wenn der Makin’s clay ® noch feucht ist kann man auch gold und grünen Micapulver hinzufügen. Damit die Rose in Form bleibt hab ich eine Papierbecher zugeschnitten, die gewachste Innenseite verhindert das Festkleben. In der Diashow unten seht ihr einige Schritte.
